Pricing

Calling this page 'Pricing' is a misnomer, but it's what folks coming to look at the website for the first time will be looking for. I've tried to design this site similar to a non-profit, even though there are limitations to actually becoming one while offering business services. Essentially that means that we've decided to primarily accept donations, and only charge money if users want to use the AI upload functionality more than once per location.

Your first menu upload for each location will always be free, that includes community members and business owners. I want to help as many businesses as possible move away from using menu images as their online presence. It's important to me that there's a zero cost point of entry, and an easy interface to maintain the menus over time. For businesses that want the option to upload new images rather than make tweaks manually, there's an option to purchase menu credits. Otherwise everyone is welcome to continue to update their menus manually for free.

Menu Credits

I don't like the idea of defaulting to a forever subscription model like most SaaS platforms these days, so I did some math and created the concept of menu credits. Processing images into structured code has a fixed cost, so these credits offset the processing fees, and set aside a matching donation for local non-profits.

Once you create an account, you can buy credits whenever you need them.

Membership

If you appreciate what I'm trying to do, and want to help cover hosting costs and the time I spend updating and maintaing the site, there are a few membership tiers. Think of them like a sustaining membership for your public radio station. Pick whichever one feels right if you want to help on an ongoing basis.

$2/month $20/year

Sprout

$5/month $50/year

Flowering

$10/month $100/year

If / when this website starts making money, I'll be creating a page that details operating costs. We aren't a 501(c)3 (and realistically never will be) so donations / memberships aren't tax deductible. I'm only ever looking for this site to be a helpful tool, if it helps offset some of our living costs like healthcare, it would expedite my ability to become a woodworker and craft teacher full time. No matter what, at least 10% of all profit will be donated.
